Registered Level instructor prep clinic
The Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center has fine tuned a "Prep Clinic" designed specifically for those individuals planning on going through the PATH International certification process.
This enhanced TWO DAY long instructional course is taught by a PATH International certified Advanced level evaluator, Kim Berggeren and Advanced level instructor, Emily Kalin, and gives participants a realistic idea of what the process is like and how they may score in an actual test setting. The majority of the course is spent in the barn doing hands on activities including individual teaching evaluations and riding tests which simulate actual testing.
This course has been re-tooled in response to participant's feedback. The new TWO DAY course will look in depth at lesson planning, disabilities, How's, What's and Why's, riding skills, and horse assessment.
Attendees will be evaluated on teaching a lesson on Saturday and performing the riding pattern on Sunday. Everyone will walk away with a report card detailing their strengths and areas that need improvement along with the confidence of knowing where they stand with the testing process.
Feedback from this clinic has been overwhelmingly positive, and to date, over 95% of those who have gone through the clinic and decided to attend the OSWC at Cheff have passed. Participation is strongly recommended. Limited seating available.
advanced level instructor prep clinic
Cheff is proud to offer Advanced Level Instructor Prep Clinics designed to benchmark skills prior to testing. The courses are taught by both PATH Lead and Associate Advanced Level Evaluators.
Course availability varies from year to year and there are no planned Advanced Level Courses at Cheff in 2018.
