Holiday Self Care Workshop
Monday, November 27th 5:15-7:30pm

Don’t feel like a holly, jolly elf much of the time this holiday season?  Welcome to the club.  It is completely normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed at times, or even like the energy required to celebrate is just too much this year. Society puts so much pressure on us to create the perfect holiday season—perfect gifts, perfect home, perfect gatherings, perfect families.  In reality, that is both unrealistic, and probably impossible.

One solution:  Take a few hours just for you and join us for a two-hour self-care group at Cheff Center.  Monday, November 27th from 5:15-7:30 pm.  We'll spend time with the horses, something that is proven by research to be calming and relaxing.  No horse experience is necessary.

Cheff Center has been offering these self-care psychoeducational groups with horses for several years.  Our Coping With Holiday Stress group is always a hit.

We’ll slow down, learn about mindfulness and techniques to relief stress, spend time working on the ground with horses, (who are accepting, and non-judgmental of emotions), and leave feeling restored, and perhaps even more hopeful about our ability to manage holiday stress.

This group is appropriate for ages 17 and up.  The last few years have been hard on many of us, emotionally, financially, physically.  Many of us have experienced losses, including losses of loved ones.   If this sounds like you, this group is for you.

It is another in a series of self-care groups offered by Cheff and facilitated by a team of professionals--a mental health professional who specializes in equine work, horse specialists, and certified instructors.

Come join us...past attendees have said how rejuvenating and relaxing our self-care groups are.  No horse experience is necessary, and our registration process is simple, and will let us know a bit about you.  See you on the 27th!  Group size is small to allow for lots of hands-on horse time.
