what

You're invited to bring your horse and join us for a morning of trail riding, silent auctions, door prizes, top fundraiser prizes, and of course an amazing lunch. There will be two trail options, a "short loop" and a "long loop" that will probably end up right around 3 and 8 miles respectively(long loop varies from year to year depending on what trails we use- riders are welcome to ride the loops multiple times) The entire ride is on trails, though there are road crossings.

how much does it cost?

Minimum pledge this year is $50*- enough for a special needs rider in our area to participate in programing- a ride for a ride!  Riders raising over $75 get an event t-shirt.

4H and Pony Club MEMBERS who ride get a FREE t-shirt!

* As this is a "Ride-a-Thon" - participants are encouraged to get their family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. in on the action!  You can certainly "sponsor" yourself, but there are fantastic prizes for top pledge earners and you could end up riding "for free" while raising money and awareness for a great cause!  Our online fundraising platform makes it super easy to build a page and spread the word on social media and email.  Check out the fundraising information listed below.

why?

As an equestrian yourself- you understand how expensive horses can be! Our herd at Cheff fluctuates between 15 and 20 horses. The cost of keeping these horses happy and healthy is nothing to laugh at. With this fundraiser, we reach out to those who really understand what we do and the challenges we face- people who understand the magic of horses and also the cost (YOU!). Funds raised at this event specifically support our herd by financing things such as vet visits, farrier care, feed, supplements, equipment that fits, fly spray... you get the idea.**

** Just a PSA- Cheff relies HEAVILY on donations- if you have any gently used horse equipment- saddles, pads, blankets, sheets, (even half bottles of fly spray...) we'd love to take them off your hands!
